Weekend Layouts

Here are some layouts I did this weekend for that wedding album I was asked to design. I only have a few pages left- thank goodness! This first page was designed with Simply Sweet Design's kit "Enjoy the Day."

The next page was done with the kit "Maurice," a collaboration between Digi-Designs by Nicole and Getting Scrappy with Britt. I used it for the font challenge at Stuff to Scrap- the font for May was Susie's Hand. Probably my favorite font ever so I was really happy that I got to use it on this page. I really love how this turned out! The kit can be bought here!

SS and Memorial Sale

I am so ready for this 3 day weekend! I am going back home for the first time in over a month- I can't wait to see my parents and little brother. I will be pretty busy though.. I have a graduation party in Minnesota tomorrow and then a family get-together on Sunday. Ok that doesn't sound as busy as I thought ha ha!

Speaking of Memorial Day, Nicole is having a Memorial Weekend Sale at STS. Go check it out and pick up lots of goodies! Click on the flyer to be directed the STS Store.

Remember how I was telling you to participate in the SS on Wednesday? Well I did- and I loved it! I can't wait to do the next one. I sent mine in a little late but hey, I still did it! Here is the layout I made with it, I used the kit "Comfort" by Stacey's Scraps. I was asked to do a wedding book for a professor, so these pictures aren't mine but I figured I would kill 2 birds with 1 stone.. all of these awesome challenges on STS encourage me to finish this book for her! So thanks STS! :-) Here is my layout:

I hope everyone has a great weekend- I am going to try to figure out how to do quickpages and set up a 4-shared account so I can share them with you! Wish me luck!

My Scrapbooking Journey

I first learned about digital scrapbooking in January 2009 when a professor from school asked if I would help her with a digital wedding scrapbook. She gave me all of the free stuff she had downloaded in the past and with my limited knowledge of Photoshop, I began scrapping. Then, a few months later after googling some tutorials, I discovered DigiFree which soon became my best friend. I was soon addicted! I just recently got all of my stuff organized and began to actually scrap some of my own personal layouts.

Here is my very first one, I used the kit "Hello Easter" by Digi-designs by Nicole. I wanted to forever remember how incredibly small my closet was in my first apartment:

And just because I don't have kids or a husband, doesn't mean I don't have plenty of other important things to scrap about, my second layout is of my little brother and his prom date last year. This was also done using a kit by Nicole, "Dream Big"- I just love her stuff!

That's all for today- thanks for looking and letting me share my layouts with you! Toodleloo!

New Beginnings

How exciting! My first ever blog post and my first day of summer- what a great start to the week! By the end of August I hope to have this blog much fuller with plenty of goodies to share with everyone! Now that school is done for awhile I will have a lot more time to digi-scrap layouts and hopefully join a few creative teams (if I'm good enough!); there are so many talented ladies to compete with! Please check back often to take advantage of whatever I can offer- it may take awhile to get the ball rolling but I promise once it gets going, it will be hard to stop! Toodleloo!
